Crystal Lake Little League is excited to welcome your new players to little league style baseball in the Minors A Division. Please know that your son or daughter will have a fun and wonderful experience learning the game of baseball and developing skills with fundamental instruction and energetic teaching as our focus. The instruction in this division will build upon skills learned in the Rookie Division with hitting a machine or coach pitched ball being the prominent new skill that is introduced. The groundwork for hitting pitched balls and fielding to record outs in the field is laid in this division to further prepare your child to play in the upper divisions. This is still a division that a 1st year player can become comfortable in participating. Not playing in the Rookie division before this age is not uncommon. There are no boundary requirements when entering the league at this level.
